The All England Theatre Festival

It's a competition

The All England Theatre Festival is the only countrywide competitive festival of one act drama in England. The six month long competition is organised regionally and, after a series of preliminary, quarter and semi final rounds across the country, culminates in a Grand Final in which the four areas winners compete for the title of English Champions.

The Worcestershire Theatre Festival is a preliminary round festival from which the winner and runner up can choose to go forward to subsequent rounds. The venues and dates of these are listed below:-

Quarter Final -   Highbury Theatre, Sutton Coldfield           Saturday 4th April 2020

Semi Final -        The Little Theatre, Leicester -                      Sunday 24th May 2020

English Final -    The Spar Theatre, Bridlington -                   Saturday 13th June 2020

British Final -     The Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl -                          Friday 26th & Saturday 27th June 2020

Note 1: Groups entering the Worcestershire Theatre Festival can choose not to go forward to the higher rounds but if they choose to, they should ensure that they will be able to perform         will be required to commit to  being able to perform.
